San Diego Unified's Family Engagement Department and Restorative Practices will host a Parents as Partners Zoom session, Wednesday, March 10, 2021, 5:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.
In this session, you will learn about the:
  • Foundational considerations of Restorative Justice Practices
  • School-to-prison pipeline and how it impacts students of color
  • Universal truths for parenting and human interaction

Join Young Engineers for a chance to build something really cool! Campers learn the engineering behind the machines we use every day and perform science experiments that kids can take home! During each day the campers will build exciting motorized LEGO® bricks models, reflecting STEM theories learned together!

All are invited to the next Parents as Partners session (Wednesday, February 10th) During this session, families will experience the basics of Restorative Justice Practices.  Info in Spanish and English.
Family Engagement, in collaboration with the Assistive Technology Department,  will be hosting a Zoom workshop on Assistive Technology.  All students, including Special Education and 504 students, can benefit from using assistive technology tools on their computers.  Family members will learn how to access and use Read&Write for Google Chrome.  This tool is available for all students and it supports students with reading, writing, studying, and research strategies.  Information in Spanish and English .
